Eco-Friendly Method in Art and Design: In the Direction of Sustainability

The worldwide problem is the Industrial waste of Textile and paper making that damages the natural environment. Globally the fashion industry value is approximately three thousand billion dollars that counts for more than two percent of the world’s gross Domestic product. Sustainable textile has been described as clothing which incorporates one or more aspects of social and environmental sustainability, such fabric containing organically grown raw material, used for clothing and use of recycled and waste products of art and fashion industry. In Pakistan, twenty two percent of energy consumption is used in the textile and art industries which produce strong deleterious impacts on the environment and clothing availability. This research elaborates the objective to incorporate sustainability in art and design from waste fabric and paper instead of new one. As well as this article highlights the significance for recycle and repurposing of the waste of textile and provides the opportunity to reconsideration. The results provide intuition of sustainable art and design and its impact on issues related to surroundings preservation and suggests new horizons of research in this reign.
