The Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in Pakistan serves as the primary legal framework for investigating and prosecuting crimes, governing the processes and procedures for law enforcement agencies. This research explores the implementation and effectiveness of the CrPC in Pakistan, evaluating its role in criminal investigations and identifying key challenges faced by law enforcement agencies. Through a detailed analysis of the procedural stages from crime reporting to trial, the study highlights systemic issues, such as inadequate training, delays in the judicial process, and limited resources for investigators. Additionally, it examines the impact of socio-political factors, such as corruption and public trust, on the effective application of the CrPC. The research emphasizes the need for reforms to improve procedural transparency, ensure the protection of human rights, and enhance the efficiency of the investigation process. It also discusses the role of technology in modernizing criminal investigations and proposes recommendations for strengthening the criminal justice system in Pakistan. Ultimately, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the CrPC's role in crime investigations, offering insights for future policy improvements.
