This study is a unique contribution to the existing literature, as it focuses on the effects of political polarization in modern politics in Pakistan. It establishes a quantitative survey of the population regarding their voting patterns and employs primary data gathered from 100 respondents from the significant urban areas of Pakistan. The study's analysis of the role of political polarization in weakening democratic governance institutions and social capital is a novel addition to the field. The results indicate that political polarization has played a role in causing demography degradation, inadequate institutional performance, and societal fragmentation within Pakistani society. This study enriches the existing literature by presenting the realistic consequences of polarization in Pakistan and offering suggestions for minimizing its adverse repercussions.
