Abstract

This study examines the impact of gender identity communication style in online interaction and focusing specifically on linguistic analysis. Discourse Analysis figures out the intended elements of media such as social media forums, and instant messaging applications. This study also elucidates the modes of articulation that have become increasingly evident and open to linguistic analysis. Through the Qualitative and Quantitative methods this study analyzes the words usage, interaction styles, and power dynamics among male, female, and non-binary individuals across different online spaces. Purposive sampling is used to collect the targeted data reveals the variations in attitude, topic choices, courtesy strategies, emotions and symbols. Collective data unveils the gendered language on the internet through culture, age, and class. Fairclough Three Dimensional Model is used to explore how identities are masking and role playing in social media communication. The findings reveal that while some traditional patterns persist—such as women use more supportive language, empathetic language whereas men are displayed themselves as more directives and commanded personalities in online communications. The complexity of identity in digital environments is emphasized by the fact that gender diverse people frequently mix characteristics from both ends of the spectrum. Males play more conventional roles on social media platforms.
