Abstract

This study examines parents' attitudes towards their daughters' education in Lasbela, focusing on the economic well-being, academic-related skills, and cultural restrictions. The research used a self-administered questionnaire to collect information from 20 male parents and 50 female students in M.S. and B.S. programs at LUAWMS university. The researcher has applied descriptive statistics inferential statistics for the analysis. In descriptive analysis, researcher found that the frequencies and percentages in the form of tabulated and graphical. In inferential, applied bivariate correlation coefficient and hypothesis testing. In hypothesis testing, researcher used the Chi-Square Independent Sample T-Test. The findings suggest that parents believe their daughters should pursue education to improve their economic well-being, join a society that values education over financial gain, and develop academic-related skills. Cultural restrictions prevent women from enrolling in co-educational institutions. The findings will be helpful in understanding how parents feel about their daughter's education, which in turn affects the daughter's job choices and educational choices.
