Abstract

This research will explore the interplay between the efficiency and the effectiveness in the public sector Information System (herein after referred as the IS). This research also employs the institutional theory and the qualitative research methodology to examine how IS design the impacts overall Public Sector Organizations (herein after referred as PSO) effectiveness. In this research, presents the key findings and the propositions emphasizing the human centered IS design, iterative assumption validation, and the contextual adaptability. Further, by using the semi structured interviews with the IS experts, the paper outlines the framework for designing the IS that align strategically with highly contingent operational context, offering the policy and the managerial recommendations to enhance the public service delivery.
