Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate the correlation between the Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning tools and paying attention in virtual education. A quantitative research design was used and data was gathered from 330 students of online learning environments. The instruments used for collecting data are structured questionnaires and the technique used in the analysis are correlation, multiple regression and ANOVA in SPSS. The findings from the study showed a positive and significant correlation between the use of AI learning tools and attention span, suggesting that the utilization of AI-based learning platforms had a positive impact on the concentration and engagement levels of students in virtual learning. Correlation analysis revealed that the variables were strongly correlated with each other and regression analysis indicated that the variables namely AI based learning platforms, interactive learning features, and personalized learning support significantly affected students' attention and interest. Moreover, according to the ANOVA result, the learning tools of AI technology showed a significant difference on the sustained attention in virtual education. It was found that AI technologies can enhance cognitive engagement but would need to be designed and implemented appropriately to prevent cognitive overload and distraction. The results underscore the need to use AI learning tools appropriately to boost students' attention span and learning outcomes in virtual learning.
